Bio:
Growing up in Angola, IN, Gabe Hutchins spent every second he could on the back of a horse. At age 9, he began competing in local AQHA and 4-H shows and when he reached high school, the love of competition led him to rodeo, team penning and team roping. While attending the University of Findlay, Gabe secured an internship with reining great, Shawn Flarida, and after just a few short weeks, he was hooked on the sport. He stayed on with Shawn Flarida and in 2001 began his professional career where he quickly made his way to the top of the sport, bringing two horses to the open finals at the All American Quarter Horse Congress.
In 2004, Gabe founded Hutchins Performance Horses and has since become one of NRHA’s Top 20 riders, with many titles to his name and over $560,000 in earnings. Since 2016, Gabe has been the head trainer and manager of Tamarack Ranch in Joseph, OR.
